Dr. Mat DiMond received undergraduate degrees from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Psychology, Natural Science and Mathematics, and his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Northeast University of Health Sciences. He has earned post graduate certifications in Rehabilitation, Education, and holds numerous technique credentials.
Dr. DiMond regularly serves on committees supporting the chiropractic profession and the sciences at the state and national level; including his role as past president of the Connecticut Chiropractic Association. He has published numerous journal and trade publications and is a regular contributor to online media outlets. His years of development as an evidence-informed and patient-focused healthcare provider has set the stage for his expertise as a college professor and medical trainer.
As an innovative educator at OH Platt High School in Meriden, Connecticut, his teaching approach typifies student-centered learning and advocates self-sufficiency developing life-long skills & learning. He uses blended instruction and adaptive learning techniques to fast-track student academic success so he can focus on motivating community-minded thought leaders in his student teams.
In his extra time, he works with patients using diverse rehabilitation strategies and active care to help people meet their physical, mental, and emotional health goals. He brings sport chiropractic to many local schools, clubs, and athletic events to the Northeast including the Ironman, Ragnar Relay, and the Nutmeg State Games. He also enjoys corporate lecturing, offering presentations to health professionals, and authoring for a number of trade journals.
Currently, he is pursuing research topics in defining KPIs to assess performance and functional outcomes.
